What are we asking?
For panellists to allow us to match their details with Facebook and collect marketing records they hold.
We do this using a secure method that does not reveal to Facebook any information about our panellists or their participation in the panel, and Facebook do not reveal any information about their Facebook account.
What information will we collect?
Facebook will share records of advertising that panellists have seen online.
Facebook collect this information from their own websites and apps, for example Facebook and Instagram, and for advertising campaigns shown on other websites and apps where they provide advertising services.
How will we use the data?
To measure the impact of advertising on grocery purchasing, for example whether households that saw an advert were more likely to buy the product than those who did not.
The number of ads or types of advertising that panellists see online will not be affected by participating in this research.
Once the panel information is matched we receive records of the advertising that panellists have seen for specific advertising campaigns that advertisers ask us to measure.
We will ask panellists periodically to confirm their preference and that they still agree for us to receive this data, for which an additional incentive will be offered.
As with all our research your data will be treated securely and confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy and you have the same rights to change your mind and withdraw your consent to this processing by contacting the Helpdesk.
